79# in five months is awesome!!!...
look at it this way, would you have lost 79# that quickly BEFORE surgery?...prob not...so you're doing great...keep your chin up!

That is almost exatly where I was at 5 months - down 80ish pounds, then down 100 by 7-8 months. You are doing just fine in my opinion. If you feel like that is slow (I don't think it it, but if you are unsure) just make sure you are following your surgeon's guidelines (for calories, protien, water, exercise and vitamins and all that jazz) - that's the best thing you can do for yourself. Congratulations on the weight loss so far!

Thats about 15lbs a month - thats amazing.
I averaged only 10lbs a month the first 6... so you are way ahead of where I was :-)
First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)
1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)

You sound like you're having a great weight loss! But I think we all understand how you feel - everyone gets impatient, frustrated, pissed off at our bodies from time to time (if not daily!).
